Guidelines and recommendations for pandemic waste management by SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)

With the constant evolution of public health concerns in cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection (COVID-19), in varied contexts and environments and given the need to control the risk factors associated with waste management when treating patients at home, as well as the issues raised by both the general population and waste treatment operators, and the dispatch of the Minister for Environment and Climate Action, No 3547-A/2020 of 22 March 2020, the following guidelines are issued to ensure the protection of public health and workers and prevent the spread of the disease, making it compatible with the need for effective and efficient waste management.
