Morbidity and Hospital Mortality for Asthma, COPD and Pneumonia

Quarterly evolution of hospitalisation rate and mortality rate, per institution, asthma, COPD and pneumonia. Hospitalisation rate and mortality rate, considering: * Year and quarter high; * Region of Inst. Hospital and Hospital Institution; * Asthma, COPD and Pneumonia. **Observations:** Calculated taking into account Ordinance 207/2017, the scope of analysis of Statistics and type of Internal production. The indicators presented correspond to indicators contracted with ULS and internationally recognised as avoidable hospitalisations. The data result from the clinical coding performed by hospitals in ICD9CM/ICD10CM/PCS after patient discharge, and there may be a greater delay in this coding in some institutions (which may result in a temporary decrease in reported episodes). Administrative and clinical coding records are the sole responsibility of each hospital institution. Clinical coding ICD9CM/ICD10CM/PCS does not correspond to the classification of causes of death in terms of death certificates.
