Motion of Proceedings, by Court (2010-1993)

Movement of cases in court courts of 1st instance, by court (2010 data do not include prosecutions for execution of sentences) Methodological Notes: The 2010 figures do not include the execution of sentences. See technical note here. This map includes the movement of cases in the Tribunal Maritimo de Lisboa, with the appeals in infringement proceedings framed in the criminal procedural movement. Criminal Justice data do not include the movement of criminal investigation and investigation processes. Given the change in the method of collecting data in court courts as of January 2007 (data collected directly from the court computer system), the information at procedural species level is more detailed from that date, with no correspondence between the procedural species collected until 2006 and from 2007. The dynamism of the information is also greater, by means of corrections that can be made to the data received by the new method of collection. Rebooted/reopened cases for all procedural areas, previously considered only in the area of Judicial Protection, are included in the process movement from January 2007. The data for the year 2007 reflect the effects of the entry into force of Decree-Law 250/2007 of 29 June 2007, which reorganises the courts of first instance, reflecting the corresponding transit of proceedings. The cases entered and completed include those transferred between organic units as a result of the extinction and creation of new courts, courts or sections.Except transfers arising from Law No 3/99 of 13 January 1999, which in that year introduced changes in the organisation and functioning of the courts.The residual values of cases in years in which the organic units do not exist correspond to pending records of corrections in the transfer of the data.
