Municipal Elections 2017. Collection of web content for preservation in Arquivo.pt

This set refers to the two collections of web content carried out before and after the 2017 municipal elections, on September 27 and October 10, 2017, and contains: — URLs of the collaborative list that collected suggestions from citizens for content to be preserved — URLs resulting from automatic search using Bing Search API, by municipality It was added to each result respective link to the.pt file. The 2017 municipal elections took place on October 1 and Arquivo.pt launched a special collection of electoral content. The contents to be recorded were identified from two sources: — collaborative list — form open to citizens’ participation for suggestions of content to be preserved — automatic search using Bing Search API The automatic search combined keywords (keywords) such as “”autarquicas“” with the names of municipalities, in order to obtain the results presented by the search engine as more relevant, in general the top 20. The URLs obtained served as a starting point or “seeds” for recording electoral content. The collection was carried out in two moments: — pre-election — 27 and 28 September 2017 — post-election — 10-11 October 2017 Social media URLs, such as Facebook and Youtube, may not have been recorded, as they use a different technology than websites.
