Packaging is any and all products made of materials of any kind used to contain, protect, move, handle, deliver and present goods, both raw materials and processed products, from the producer to the user or consumer, including all the “disposable” articles used for the same purposes.The principles and standards applicable to the management of packaging and packaging waste in Portugal are laid down in Decree-Law No 152-D/2017 of 11 December 2017, transposing into national law Directives 94/62/EC and 2004/12/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on packaging and packaging waste.
