Dataset description

Servitude and Restriction of Public Utility (SRUP) — Airports and Aerodromes, in force in mainland Portugal. Airports and Aerodromes, including aviation support facilities, constitute a servitude and restriction of public utility and are part of the infrastructure. The constitution of aeronautical servitudes follows the regime provided for in the applicable legislation. Areas containing civil aerodromes and civil aviation support facilities shall be subject to aeronautical servitude with a view to ensuring the safety and efficiency of the use and operation of such facilities, as well as the protection of persons and surface property. The areas of aeronautical servitudes and the limits of the airspace covered by it are defined in each case by Decree of the Member of the Government that oversees this sectoral area. In the case of a civilian aerodrome or civil aviation support facility subject to both civilian aeronautical servitude and military servitude, the servitudes shall be studied coordinatedly and whenever possible constituted, modified or extinguished by the same diploma. The geographical information provided through the respective web services was produced by DGT and other official entities, from information legally deposited in the National Territorial Information System (SNIT) concerning the delimitation of servitude of Airports and Aerodromes.
