Dataset description

Servitude and Restriction of Public Utility (SRUP) — Customs facilities, in force in mainland Portugal. The establishment of servitudes and restrictions of public utility related to Customs Facilities follows the regime provided for in the law, being inserted within the scope of the Equipment. Servitude is automatically constituted in the area of jurisdiction of Customs, i.e.: In ports, coves, rivers and anchorages; In the maritime area of respect, considered to be 6 miles; In a land area of 10 km from the coast; In a land area of 40 km from the border, comprising the rivers bordering that area; Throughout the terrain occupied by the railway lines, comprising the respective stations and workshops, and in a strip of 2 km to each side of the same lines; At aerodromes and airports and in a 2 km lane around them; In the free deposits and free zones and in a range of 2 km around it. Within the jurisdiction of Customs, no construction can be done without the authorisation of the public entity responsible for Customs. The geographical information provided through the respective web services, representing the location of Customs and Delegations and Customs Control, was produced by DGT and other official entities, from information legally deposited in the National Territorial Information System (SNIT) concerning the delimitation of servitude of Customs Facilities.
