Administrative borders — Slovak Republic

The data set Border SR contains a class of objects Slovak Republic, which interprets the area of the state border. The state border is an area that crosses the boundary lines vertically along the earth’s surface and separates the territory of the Slovak Republic (SR), its airspace, the area below the earth surface, the above-ground and underground structures and facilities of all kinds from the territory of neighbouring states. It defines a single and indivisible territory of the Slovak Republic, on which the state exercises its sovereign state power. It is adjacent to five countries: The Czech Republic, Hungary, the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Austria and Ukraine. The object is represented by a vector spatial component and a descriptive component that contains qualitative and quantitative information defined in the ZBGIS Object Class Catalogue (KTO ZBGIS) available at www.geoportal.sk. The Slovak Republic’s object class is provided in four generalisation stages as appropriate for the selected imaging scale.
