Dataset description

The building cadastre is the basic record of building data. The building cadastre consists of the latest recorded data on buildings and parts of buildings, as well as a collection of documents and data that enable historical overview of changes. The document collection shall contain the files and other documents on the basis of which individual entries, plans and data were made before the last data entered. The collection of documents shall be kept in physical or electronic form. The building cadastre is a record of buildings and parts of buildings. A building is an object into which a person can enter and which is intended for permanent or temporary residence, business or other activities, or protection, and cannot be moved without prejudice to its substance. The building has one or more parts. An individual part of a building is a space or group of premises in a building that can be independently regulated by law. As parts of a building in a building cadastre, its common parts shall also be recorded, if specified. The following information shall be entered in the building cadastre for a building or part of a building: the identification mark; the owner; the operator; position and form; the surface; the actual use; number of apartment or business premises. The building cadastre also keeps data on the connection with the register of spatial units, the land cadastre and the land register. The building cadastre data is kept and maintained in a central database. The central database of buildings connects with other records kept by the surveying authority (land cadastre, register of spatial units, real estate register). The building cadastre data form the basis for the entry of a building or part of a building in the land register.
