Dataset description

Media literacy research is the first comprehensive research in Slovenia. Research work relies on a number of existing research and analyses of primary and secondary data. Data collected within the framework of the Infrastructure Programme of the Faculty of Media, which form the basis of the analysis of the state of media literacy and use of media in Slovenia. The research began in 2014 and covers the areas of media use, online security, media education, use of social networks, media exposure and the use of electronic devices, the impact of media on people’s daily lives, the importance of privacy and security of sharing personal information online. As part of the media survey, the data includes different age groups — from the general representative population of Slovenia to individual groups such as primary school pupils, secondary schoolchildren, preschool children, unemployed and deaf and blind or visually impaired.
