Dataset description

Data on municipal roads in the time series since 2002 are compiled in an Excel file with spreadsheets and aggregated tables by region. Data on the length of municipal roads within and outside the settlement are also included. More detailed data by type of municipal roads are collected on individual sheets for each year of the observed period. Abbreviations of municipal roads: LC Local Roads LG Main City Roads LZ Collective City Roads Lk city (local) roads JP Public Route Public trails for cyclists Definition of: The length of a municipal road is the sum of the lengths of local roads (LK), major urban roads (LG), congested urban roads (LZ), urban (local) roads (LK) and public roads (JP) in the municipality. Public routes for cyclists (KJ) are not included in the length of roads. Methodology: sum of municipal roads (LC + LG + LZ + LK + JP) excluding KJ in the municipality. — Data on main and regional roads in the time series since 1990 are compiled in an Excel file with spreadsheets and aggregated tables by region. Data on the length of roads within and outside the settlement are also included. More detailed data are collected on individual sheets for each year of the observed period. Abbreviations of national roads since 1998: AC motorways (four and multi-lane) HC express roads (three-band and two-lane) G1 Main Roads of 1st Order G2 Main Roads of 2nd Order R1 regional roads of 1st order R2 regional roads of 2nd order R3 Regional Roads 3 rd Order RT Regional Tourist Roads Types of sections from 1990 onwards: A section with physically separated lane — OTHER section C branch (unused) D additional section of the road — resting place, road road The Normal Section P connector, split R split (unused) In section with physically separated lane — LEVI section Definition of: The length of a road is the sum of the lengths of the sections to which they belong, according to the type of section. The length of roads without connections includes sections of type A and O. The length of roads with connections includes sections of type A, C, O and P. Other types of sections (V, D and R) shall not be counted against the length of roads. Methodology: all roads (GC and RC) without connections. Motorway sections are not taken into account; in case they are taken into account, they are added (without connectors) to the lengths of GC and RC outside the settlement.
