The register collects data on legal entities — carriers of common waste electrical and electronic equipment management plans, which, as part of their joint waste electrical and electronic equipment management plans, ensure the collection and treatment of waste electrical and electronic equipment instead of producers of electrical and electronic equipment. They also inform the public, users of electrical and electronic equipment and distributors about the handling of electrical and electronic equipment. The records shall also contain information on the locations of collection centres and facilities for the treatment of electrical and electronic equipment.
