Records of persons holding temporary refuge

The Temporary Refuge Act does not use the term “Register of Persons with Temporary Refuge”. However, it uses the term “personal data collections” as follows: on care and accommodation, on health care, on education, on temporary and occasional work, on the loss or termination of temporary shelter and on repatriation. Each of these databases shall also contain personal data relating to a person with temporary refuge, namely: first and last name, maiden name, sex, status, date of birth and place, nationality, education and profession, last residence outside the Republic of Slovenia, date of arrival in the Republic of Slovenia, details of the document on which the temporary shelter was based, number and date of issue of the decision on temporary refuge, place of residence in the Republic of Slovenia. The Temporary Refuge Act expired with the entry into force of the Act on Temporary Protection of Displaced Persons, except in the articles relating to the right to accommodation of vulnerable persons with special needs in accommodation centres. The ministry responsible for internal affairs must archive the data on the individual within three months of his departure from the Republic of Slovenia. Access to archived data deleted from the database after 10 years shall be permitted for the purposes of the work of the ministry responsible for the interior and the body referred to in Article 12 of this Act, of internationally recognised philanthropic organisations and for the needs of the data subject. The Ministry deletes data on the individual after three months from departure from the Republic of Slovenia.
