Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage

The Intangible Cultural Heritage Register is the central database of intangible heritage. Intangible heritage is intangible goods such as practices, presentations, expressions, knowledge, skills, and related movable and cultural spaces (where this heritage is represented or expressed) that are transferred from generation to generation by communities, groups and sometimes individuals and are constantly recreated in response to their environment, nature and history. The register of intangible cultural heritage is kept by the Ministry of Culture and is part of the cultural heritage register (in addition to the register of intangible cultural heritage, it consists of a register of immovable cultural heritage and a register of movable cultural heritage, which has not yet been established in practice). The purpose of maintaining the register is to provide information support for the implementation of heritage protection. The register is also intended for the presentation, research, education, and development of public awareness of heritage.
