Dataset description

Slovenian Public Opinion (SJM) 2014 is a survey carried out as part of the European Social Survey 2014 (ESS 7). The ESF is an academic-led international survey conducted so far in more than 30 countries. The objectives of the research are to monitor and explain changing social values and habits in Europe and to explore how they relate to changes in the institutional environment across Europe. Slovenian public opinion 2014 is part of the seventh round of the ESF programme, in which the survey covered 22 countries, mainly from the European Union, in addition to Slovenia. In addition to the basic content module, two additional rotating content modules are included in this round, namely: “relations to immigration” (partially included in ESF Circle 1) and “Relation to Health”. The survey uses a high-quality survey methodology — consistent random sampling, a target rate of participation of at least 70 percent and precise translation protocols.
