Dataset description

Slovenian Public Opinion (SJM) 2016/2 is a survey carried out as part of the European Social Survey 2016 (8th round). The ESF is an academic-led international survey conducted so far in more than 30 countries. The objectives of the research are to monitor and explain changing social values and habits in Europe and to explore how they relate to changes in the institutional environment across Europe. Slovenian public opinion 2016/2 is part of the eighth cycle of the ESF programme, in which 23 countries, mainly from the European Union, were surveyed in addition to Slovenia. In addition to the basic content module, two additional rotating content modules are included in this round, namely: “climate change and energy” and “social well-being”. The survey uses a high-quality survey methodology — consistent random sampling, expected participation rate of at least 70 percent and accurate translation protocols.
