Dataset description

The survey on the positions of deputies on the functioning of the National Assembly gives an insight into the positions of deputies regarding certain fundamental elements of parliamentaryism in modern liberal democracies. In this way, the perception of the representation of interests, which is one of the fundamental components of the parliamentary mandate, is observed in more detail, as well as the entire structure of the functioning of the parliament with the functioning of the working bodies at the head. The aim of the survey is to find out how deputies assess the way in which the National Assembly operates in a given term, in particular how MEPs see its role in the conditions of Slovenia’s membership of the EU, what are their views and expectations, especially given the complexity of the functioning of the national parliament in the new conditions, as well as the actual possibility of influencing the reception of decisions and policy-making at EU level.
