Dataset description

A agglomeration is a agglomeration where the population or the exercise of an economic or other activity is concentrated in such a way that it is possible to collect urban waste water in a sewage system and discharge it through a sewer to a urban waste water treatment plant or to the final point of discharge. Agglomerations shall be determined in areas where the density of urban waste water loads is expressed in p.e. per hectare (hereinafter: PE/ha) equal to or greater than 10 PE/ha and is the urban waste water generation load expressed by the total number of PE (hereinafter: population burden) equal to or greater than 50 p.e. Data on permanently declared residents are taken into account, with one permanent resident representing one PE, the presence of buildings where urban waste water is expected to be generated, and data on generalised dedicated use of space on building land in accordance with the regulations on spatial planning. Building land intended for residential areas, central activities, production activities, special areas, urban areas, scattered settlement areas and areas for defence purposes in settlements shall be taken into account. The boundaries of the areas of operators of mandatory municipal public utilities for the discharge and treatment of urban waste water shall also be taken into account if this is reasonable and justified in order to ensure the integrated and economically sustainable management of public infrastructure.
