Dataset description

Flood hazard areas shall be classified into flood hazard classes on the basis of criteria classifying the flood current strength at the same probability of occurrence, with the decisive criterion indicating the largest hazard class. Plot spatial objects represent the ranges of areas of the class: — small flood hazards (Pm) where the depth of water is less than 0.5 m or the product of the depth and speed of water is less than 0.5 m at the Q100 flow or G100 level, or the product of water depth and velocity is less than 0.5 m²/s. — medium flood hazards (Ps) with a water depth equal to or greater than 0.5 m and less than 1.5 m, or a product of water depth and velocity equal to or greater than 0.5 m²/s and less than 1.5 m²/s, or where the water depth is greater than 0.0 m at the flow rate of Q10 or at the level of G10 at the Q100 flow or at the level of G100. — major flood hazards (Pv) with a water depth equal to or greater than 1.5 m or a water velocity equal to or greater than 1.5 m at a Q100 or G100 flow rate, or 1.5 m²/s. — residual flood hazards (Pp) where flooding occurs as a result of exceptional natural or human-induced events (e.g. extreme meteorological events or damage or collapse of flooding facilities or other water works). In practice, these areas include flood hazard areas between Q100 and Q500. and the Scope of Results (OVR) — this is the area where the flood hazard classes shown are valid. The basic purpose of the coverage is to define the conditions and limitations for carrying out spatial interventions and activities in flood-prone areas. The data are also intended for the planning of flood risk reduction measures, planning of spatial planning and spatial interventions and information on flood conditions.
