Dataset description

Series of layers of geographical information in raster format representing the erosivity of rain on a monthly basis in Andalusia since 1991. The erosivity of rain is the measurement of the kinetic energy deployed by all the drops of water from an acute steel impacting on the ground, which is directly proportional to the density of the steel, the inertial velocity of the drops of rain and the size of those drops. The erosivity of rain is one of the variables involved in the calculation of the Universal Land Loss Equation (USLE). The layers are accompanied by the alphanumeric information which served as the basis for their preparation. The information is composed of two series in which erosivity has been calculated using different methodologies.
