Dataset description

Information collected and generated within the project of characterisation and monitoring of the environmental quality of the water environment of the low course of the Guadalquivir river, from the municipality of Alcolea del Río to its mouth. The characterisation has been carried out using geometrically and atmospheric corrected images of the Landsat 5 satellite captured by the TM sensor (Thematic Mapper), which in turn have been crossed with data of parameters measured in situ, generating algorithms by parameter, so that once applied to the image data are derived from: content of suspended solids, chlorophyll-a, turbidity and water transparency. The following information is included: 1. Geographical location of the sampling points (in shape format (InfGeogram\InfVectorial\Shapes) and Excel (InfGeogramfica\InfAlfanum). 2. Photos of each of the points sampled (Images). 3. Data measured during the field campaign (Documents\Sampling), including the radiometry data per point, the analysis of samples for the day 30/06/2010 (Analitica\Samples_30062010.xls) and for the sampling of other dates coinciding with the acquisition of landsat images. Included in these data (3.) field notebooks, working protocols and manual use of the radiometer used. 4. Radiometry data once processed, including the spectra obtained by sampling point and their correspondence with the Landsat bands, correlation between field reflectivity and that obtained from the image (Documents\Radiometria\Processed_Data\RefCampo_RefImg.xls), correlation between reflectivity and parameters for obtaining algorithms (Documents\Radiometria\Processed_Data\Data\2_Correlacion_Cla.xls; 2_Correlation_SD.xls; 2_Correlation_SS.xls; 2_Correlation_Turbidez.xls) and spreadsheet with validation of results (Documents\Radiometria\Processed_Data\3_Validation.xls). Finally, methodological and outcome reports are also included (Documents\Reports). Images of suspended solids, chlorophyll, turbidity and transparency are integrated into the REDIAM data repository in the following path: Y:\01_CARACTERIZACION_TERRITORIO\04_SENSORES_SATELITALES_IMAGENES\08_LANDSAT\02_TM\03_PFIS.
