Dataset description

Mapping of the location and delimitation of the areas at high risk of forest fires in Castilla y León. Areas where the frequency or virulence of forest fires and the importance of threatened values require special protection measures against fires are considered areas of high risk of fire or preferential protection, as set out in Article 48 of Law 43/2003 of 21 November 2003 on Montes. The areas at high risk of forest fires in the Community of Castile-Leon are declared by ORDEN MAM/1062/2005 of 5 August and by ORDEN MAM/1111/2007 of 19 June.
