CyL land cover: WMS

Web map visualisation service, according to the WMS-OGC standard, which covers the topic of land use (item 2, Annex II of the INSPIRE Directive: LC — Land Cover). The Land Cover theme focuses on describing the land surface through its physical and biophysical characteristics, which includes artificial surfaces, agricultural areas, forests, natural areas, wetlands, water bodies, etc. The land cover thus defined can result in multiple mappings depending on the desired applications and applied technologies. This is evidenced by the various initiatives addressing this issue: the CORINE Land Cover program, the LUCAS project, in Spain the SIOSE project, etc. Warning: it should not be confused with the theme Land Use (item 4 of Annex III), although they are closely related.
