CyL municipal boundaries: boundary lines

Official geometry of municipal LIMITED LIMITS and link to their REGISTRAL FICHAS. Administrative delimitation of the municipalities of Castilla y León obtained from the official boundary lines of the National Geographic Institute (IGN) included in the Central Register of Cartography. A link to the download of your record sheet is included from each boundary line. Each boundary line indicates the method of obtaining its geometry and its corresponding PRECISION (ACCURY). Four methods are defined: — Method 1: Digitised line on the MTN. Its accuracy is limited by that of the manual digitisation process. Estimated uncertainty of 40 meters. — Method 2: Improved geometry or adjusted to the description of the legal title inscribed, by comparison with aerial orthophotography, digital terrain model or other cartographic sources and, where applicable, from the inscribed technical documentation (field notebooks and planimetry). Estimated uncertainty of 20 meters. — Method 3: Geometry of the milestones or pillars obtained on the ground (GNSS instrumentation or total station) and precise determination of the sections that connect them. This work is ratified by means of an additional act, an administrative decision or a court ruling. Accuracy is better than 1 meter. — Method 4: Line digitised from different graphic or literal sources, or its origin is not clear. For each boundary line, its legal status (LEGSTATUS) is indicated. Two states are defined: — Agreed: Legally endorsed. — not Agreed: Provisional or partially provisional.
