DATASET BTIB Base Topográfica 5.000 Illes Balears

Topographic base at 1: 5000 expedita scale that covers the entire territory of the Balearic Islands. The data it includes are: relief, hydrology, transport network, buildings, towns and constructions, services and facilities, land cover, reference points, administrative and geographical names. The new Btib data model covers the entire territory structured in geographic objects grouped by themes, with homogeneous information throughout the territory, with territorial continuity and geometric coherence. Therefore, the cartographic sheet is no longer used and we have a continuous cartography. The topographic base of the Balearic Islands (BTIB) uses as source of origin the previous cartography with the Topographic model of the Balearic Islands MTIB of 2015 for Mallorca, Ibiza and Formentera. These vector cartographies are worked on to produce the topographic base following the indications of the new data model. For Menorca, the origin is the BTIB2012 and the relevant transformations have also been carried out to arrive at the BTIB model. With all the Islands in the same data model, changes are detected using the 2018 & 2019 aerial photography. Once the changes have been detected, the update has been carried out through photogrammetric restitution and editing to comply with all the established parameters. techniques of positional accuracy, thematic accuracy, logical consistency and completeness.
