DATASET Maximum permissible limits per hectare and year of animals buried in the plots located in the livestock farms of the Balearic Islands (LMAPZER)

This map shows its equivalence to the number of animals (according to species and zootechnical classification) that can be buried per hectare and year according to the area in which they are found. (in this table we have performed the equivalence in animals / ha / year, instead of doing it at UBM / ha / year, to facilitate their interpretation)From less to permissible in terms of burials, we will see the following color codes in the maps:- RED: burials are not allowed. The maximum amount in these zones is therefore 0 UBM per ha / year (it corresponds to areas of high vulnerability to aquifer pollution, regardless of the degree of vulnerability to nitrate pollution by agricultural origin).- ORANGE: The least permissible with regard to the amount of animals that can be buried per ha / year. The maximum amount in these areas is 1 UBM per ha / year (it corresponds to areas that are vulnerable to nitrate contamination of agricultural origin, if they have a medium or low vulnerability to aquifer contamination).- YELLOW: Intermediate permissibility between orange and green. The maximum amount in these areas is 2.5 UBM per ha / year (it corresponds to those areas with average vulnerability to the contamination of aquifers).- GREEN: The most permissible with regard to the amount of animals that can be buried per ha / year. The maximum amount in these areas is 5 UBM per ha / year (it corresponds to areas with low vulnerability to aquifer contamination).
