Dataset description
A Digital Ground Model (MDT) is a digital representation of the orography of a territory. It is also widely known as the Digital Elevation Model (MDE). MDTs can be defined based on an orthogonal mesh of fixed-sized cells in which each has a height value (GRID) associated or by networks of interconnected three-dimensional triangles (TINs). MDTs store dimensions of the earth’s surface, not vegetation or artificial constructions that may exist on it. This data is provided in XYZ flat text format, by sheets of 5,000 by 2,500 meters (1250 hectares) or in TIFF format at the island level.
