Dataset description

Mapping and classification of tree species of forest interest in Andalusia based on a forestry legend. The information comes from the analysis of the map of vegetation at scale of detail completed with the map of land uses and covers at scale 1:25,000. Species tipificadas:alcornoque (Quercus suber), oak (Quercus ilex subsp. ballota), chestnut (Castanea sativa), quejigo moruno (Q. canariensis), melojo (Quercus pyrenaica), Quercus faginea, Quercus alpestris, pinsapo (Abies pinsapo), alder (Alnus glutinosa), ash (Fraxinus angustifolia), resin pine (Pinus pinaster), pine pine (Pinus pinea), carob (Ceratonia siliqua), Pinus halepensis, Pinus nigra, Pinus sylvestris, Olea european var sylvestris, Ulmus minor. There is a much more recent typification of forest species, so they become obsolete.
