Dataset description
Mapping corresponding to the areas occupied by the species Black Bass (Micropterus salmooides), Lucio (Esox lucius) and Rainbow Trutch (Oncorhynchus mykiss) as invasive alien species, prior to the entry into force of Law 42/2007, of 13 December, on Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, where management, control or possible eradication measures can be carried out through fishing.
This cartographic delimitation, approved in the Resolution of 19 December 2019, of the Directorate-General for Natural Environment, Biodiversity and Protected Areas, aims to show:
— The list of waters where releases of the species rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were made before December 2007. Of these sites, and according to technical and scientific reports of their current situation, those in which the release of rainbow trout will be permitted will be established in the General Orders of working periods and closed fishing periods.
— The area of distribution of Black Bass (Micropterus salmooides), introduced before the entry into force of Law 42/2007, where management, control or possible eradication measures can be carried out through fishing.
— The area of distribution of Lucio (Esox lucius), introduced before the entry into force of Law 42/2007, where management, control or possible eradication measures can be carried out through fishing.
Due to the wide distribution of Carpa (Cyprinus carpio) prior to 2007 in the mainland water bodies of Andalusia, the distribution area of Carpa (Cyprinus carpio) is established, in all its varieties, in all the masses, courses and continental water bodies of Andalusia, except those that due to their ecological conditions are not suitable for the development of this species, such as the high courses of rivers and streams, of cold waters.
