The physiographic units represent those units genetically associated with coastal processes such as exposed and unexposed sedimentary formations, coastal platforms, etc. Additionally, units of river and fluviocoluvial origin have been included, taking into account that through them there is the sedimentary connection continent/coast, in addition to all those infrastructures that, given their extent and their ability to alter the physiognomy of the units, come into contact with these units. The associated database proposes a hierarchical coding that will be the basis for the extraction of derived cartography, structured in five fundamental levels of aggregation. The average scale of the map can be set at 1:50,000, although it should be considered that the scale for capturing the information has usually been 1:2,500 and occasionally larger, which allows, from the point of view of screen display, a maximum scale of 1:1,500 and minimum of 1:100,000.
