The Mining Registry of Andalusia registers all the information revealing about mining rights defined by Law 22/1973, of July 21 of Minas. Under the Mines Act, mineral deposits and other geological resources are classified in the following sections:
— Section A, are deposits of low economic value and their restricted geographical marketing, as well as those whose unique use is to obtain fragments of size and shape appropriate for direct use in infrastructure, construction and other use works that do not require more operation than those of start-up, broken and calibrated.
— Section B, includes mineral waters, thermal springs, underground structures and unnatural deposits.
— Section C, as many deposits and geological resources that are not included in the previous sections.
— Section D, includes coals, radioactive minerals, geothermal resources, bituminous rocks and any other mineral deposits or geological resources of energy interest.
The Andalusian Mining Registry includes each of the sections defined in the Mining Law, together with the most important administrative data and the geographical situation of each of the rights. It is transcribed in a database, which is the core of this digital information.
