REDIAM. IMA 2015. WMS Night Sky Quality Diagnostic Tool, SqkyMap (IMA 2015)

Node of the Environmental Information Network of Andalusia. Junta de Andalucia. WMS service from the map published in the Environment Report 2015 corresponding to the results of the SQskyMap model, the Sky Quality Meter offers values on a logarithmic scale of magnitudes per second of squared arc (mag/arcseg2), ranging from the value 16 (highly contaminated skies) to the value 22 (absolutely dark sky). Through this map you can know both the most polluted and the darkest areas. The Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning has developed a novel tool called QskyMap, the first diagnostic map by which you can determine the darkness of the Andalusian night sky at any point in the territory, without the need for expensive measurement campaigns.
