Dataset description
WMS service corresponding to the Habitat of Community Interest of wooded cork oak formations located on sands and coastal dunes. They correspond to forests of Quercus suber that develop on fixed dunes belonging to the wind mantle, or on fossil dunes near the coast. These forests, which have now disappeared for the most part, were relatively abundant on the western coast of our region, but urban pressure, forest farms and fires have wiped out most of them, remaining today and as witnesses of part of their former occupation, isolated individuals of cork oak. Besides the cork oak, they are part of the community Myrtus communis, Pistacia lentiscus, Calicotome villosa, Ulex australis, Halimium halimifolium, Cistus crispus, Teucrium fruticans, Juniperus turbineta, Rubia Pilgrim, Phillyrea angustifolia, Rubus ulmifolius, Aristolochia baetica, etc. Among the most typical species we find the deer, the boar, the roe, along with an important number of other vertebrates and invertebrates. Integrated into the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Andalusia, following the guidelines of the Andalusian Cartographic System.
