Dataset description

WMS service corresponding to the Habitat of Priority Community Interest 91E0 characterised by arboreal and arborescent alluvial forests of generally high and medium courses with high soil and atmospheric humidity, dominated or co-dominated by alders (Alnus glutinosa) and, on time, hazelnuts (Corylus hazelana) or black poplars (Populus nigra). The choperas of Populus nigra in Andalusia do not appear to be of natural origin, according to the study by LARA et al. (2004), where only the choperas of the Pyrenean tributaries of the Ebro River are considered natural. However, it is proposed to study the inclusion in the HIC of very naturalised formations and of an important entity, such as the Choperas of the Múrtiga River in the Sierra de Aracena (Huelva). As regards the Nevadian birch (Salici capreae-Betuletum fontqueri), as discussed in the text corresponding to HIC 9180, it is considered that they may be more typical of the latter than 91E0 because of their ecological characteristics. Finally, hazelnuts would only be included in this habitat in the case of ripe formations, considering hillside communities belonging to a subgroup of HIC 9240. . Node of the Environmental Information Network of Andalusia. Junta de Andalucia. Integrated into the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Andalusia, following the guidelines of the Andalusian Cartographic System.
