Dataset description

Node of the Environmental Information Network of Andalusia. Junta de Andalucia. WMS service corresponding to the preliminary fire severity, obtained from the difference of the NBR index (Normalised Burn Ratio) of the Sentinel 2A images of July 31 and September 19, 2017, at 10 m of resolution, in the area of the fire of La Granada de Rio Tinto, Zufre and El Castillo de las Guardas. The Sentinel 2 atheites are part of the European Union’s Copernicus programme with a resolution of 10, 20.60 m and 13 spectral bands. The difference of NBR is calculated with the Sentinel images pre-fire (31/07/2017) and post-fire (19/09/2017), dates close to each other, minimising in this way the changes in the phenology of the vegetation that could affect this index. The levels of affectation will be calibrated by the use of data collected in a field sample, obtaining the final Severity. Node of the Environmental Information Network of Andalusia. Junta de Andalucia. Integrated into the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Andalusia, following the guidelines of the Andalusian Cartographic System.
