WMS Service corresponding to the Lithological Map drawn up from the Atlas of Andalusia (Tome II) by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and the Ministry of the Environment. Developed on the basis of the Geological Mining Map 1:400,000, adjusted with satellite images, and revised with the national geological mapping of the Magna series at 1:50,000 scale. It identifies the lithological units according to the intrinsic physical and chemical characteristics of the rocks, regardless of their chronological character. In this way 41 continental lithological units have been individualised, grouped into four classes according to their genesis: volcanic, plutonic, metamorphic and sedimentary. On the other hand, according to the size of the grain and its consolidation and studies of marine geology, thirteen large classes of sediment formations and marine rocks have been represented. Node of the Environmental Information Network of Andalusia. Junta de Andalucia. Integrated into the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Andalusia, following the guidelines of the Andalusian Cartographic System.
