Dataset description

WMS service corresponding to the Map of Plant Uses and Coverages of Soil 1999, on a semi-detail scale (1:50,000), carried out by the Ministry of the Environment. Its main objective is the mapping and statistical monitoring of changes in occupation typologies of the territory of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. It emerged in 1991 as a continuation and adaptation of the methodology of the European CORINE Land Cover project to the physical-territorial reality of the Andalusian community. The legend develops the CORINE project (44 classes) to reach 166 simplified classes to facilitate its interpretation. This version corresponds mainly to the interpretation of images taken in the summer of 1999, to which different computer and validation and correction procedures have subsequently been applied. Regarding the marine environment, the Service includes unofficial maritime jurisdictional limits (to know the official points that make up the straight baselines, consult Royal Decree 2510/1977 of August 5, in development of Law 20/1967 of 8 April). It also includes areas of restriction of navigation, anchoring and fishing of the Andalusian coast, formations of algae and fanerogams, artificial reefs and fishing grounds. Node of the Environmental Information Network of Andalusia. Junta de Andalucia. Integrated into the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Andalusia, following the guidelines of the Andalusian Cartographic System.
