Dataset description

WMS service for water catchment areas designated in accordance with Article 7 of the WFD whereby all bodies of water used for the abstraction of water intended for human consumption providing an average of more than 10 m³ per day or supplying more than 50 persons shall be specified. In the demarcation there are 319 surface catches for supply of more than 10 m³/day, of which 238 are abstractions in springs, 32 are river sockets, 17 galleries, 15 reservoirs, 15 of azudes and 2 of dams. In groundwater there are 563 abstractions for supply of more than 10 m³/day, of which 499 are probes and 64 are wells. Protection perimeters have been defined in places of hydrogeological interest and in groundwater abstractions located outside bodies of water. In addition, safeguard zones have been delimited for the protection of feeding and recharging zones for human consumption identified in those bodies of groundwater that provide a daily average of more than 100 m³. Author: General Directorate of Planning and Management of the Hydraulic Public Domain. Hydrological Plan 2009-2015. Node of the Environmental Information Network of Andalusia. Junta de Andalucia. Integrated into the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Andalusia, following the guidelines of the Andalusian Cartographic System.
