REDIAM. WMS Quality map of the night sky of Andalusia

WMS service corresponding to the first predictive map through which you can know the darkness of the Andalusian night sky at any point in the territory, without the need for expensive measurement campaigns. It has a resolution of 100 m. For its preparation, an extensive night sky brightness measurement campaign has been carried out between 2011 and 2015 in which more than 40,000 measurements have been taken. This information, contrasted with satellite images and with the help of advanced statistical functions and geographic information systems, has been extrapolated to the entire Autonomous Community, allowing, on the one hand, to determine the quality of the night sky at any point in the Andalusian territory and on the other, to serve as a reference to verify the impact of the measures put in place since the adoption of Regulation 357/2010, Decree 357/2010 of 3 August 2010.
