WMS Rural Areas of the Canary Islands

WMS Service of Rural Areas of the Canary Islands. The information has been provided by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of the Canary Islands. Article 3 of Law 45/2007 of 13 December 2007 on the sustainable development of rural areas defines the rural area as the scope of the preventive measures resulting from the Sustainable Rural Development Programme regulated in that Act. The service offers three layers: the rural areas of the Canary Islands of 2010 (agreement of the Governing Council of the Canary Islands dated 15/04/2010), the current delimitation where the Rural Development Programme (RDP) of the Canary Islands (RDP) 2014-2020 invests and the Leader Action Area also of the RDP 2014-2020. In addition, it also includes the results obtained after applying the Valuation Criteria of Section 7 of the Rural Development Programme of the Canary Islands (RDP) 2014-2020 for each of the census sections of the Rural Area of the Canary Islands. The published information will allow the assessment of the aid applications issued by Order of 29 December 2016 (BOC No 252 of 29/12/2016) according to the criteria of Section 7 entitled “Support for basic services and the renewal of populations in rural areas” of the RDP 2014-2020.
