Dataset description

The WMS (Web Map Service) service called zones vulnerable to nitrate pollution (four-year report 2012-2015. Dir 91/676/EEC) allows the visualisation and consultation of vector data and the alphanumeric information associated with the mapping of areas vulnerable to nitrate pollution from agricultural activity, in accordance with Directive 1/676/EEC concerning the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources (‘the Nitrates Directive’). They are controlled by underground and surface sampling stations, and the information is reported to the European Commission every four years. This version of vulnerable zones corresponds to that set out in the monitoring report of Directive 91/676/EEC for the four-year period 2012-2015.
