WMS Undersea Fishing Areas

Areas suitable for recreational practice of underwater fishing in the Canary Islands. The publication of this information provided by the Directorate-General for Fisheries of the Government of the Canary Islands aims to enable those who practice this activity to locate the provisions to be complied with in the field. The service provides information on the limits where the aforementioned recreational activity can be carried out and the areas themselves that are represented as they are within the outer waters and, therefore, are governed by state regulations or areas within inland waters so that they are governed by regional regulations. The cartographic base used to carry out the work is the layer of municipalities of the year 2009. Although it should be noted that the coastline has been modified and updated in some coastal areas, especially those that have undergone some major transformation since that year, such as the creation or expansion of some ports.
