Dataset description
Developed by the Department of Plant Biology (Botanic) of the University of La Laguna through a Research Contract called “Cartography of the Canarian Vegetation”. The development of the map has been based on a 1:20,000 scale Topographic Map, orthophotos at 1:5,000 scale and fieldwork.
The service offers both the Royal Vegetation layer and the Potential Vegetation layer.

The Iron: year 2001
Fuerteventura: years 2001-2002
Gran Canaria: years 1998-2001
La Gomera: years 2002-2003
La Palma: years 2002-2003
Lanzarote: years 2000-2001
Tenerife: years 1998-2000.
Partial revisions of the map have been made in 2009 and 2017.
