Dataset description

It contains information on the different Spanish landscapes and shows the remarkable diversity of these, formed on closely related ecological and cultural bases; trends and dynamics leading to the modification of traditional landscapes and the construction of the modern landscape; as well as the need for intervention through a specific management that allows the conservation of the Spanish landscape heritage and the use of its resources. The geographical data come from the digitisation of cartography published in the Atlas of Landscapes of Spain. The date of creation of the geographical data is March 2008 and the last update is August 2010.
