Dataset description

The Historical Heritage of the Canary Islands, as established by Law 4/1999, of March 15, on the Historical Heritage of the Canary Islands, is constituted by movable and immovable property that has historical, architectural, artistic, archaeological, ethnographic, paleontological, scientific or technical interest. Also part of the Canarian historical heritage are the intangible assets of popular and traditional culture and the linguistic particularities of Spanish spoken in the Canary Islands. The assets that are part of the historical heritage will be included in the Register of Assets of Cultural Interest, in inventories and in municipal catalogues and letters. Articles 17 and 18 of Law 4/1999, articles 17 and 18 of Law 4/1999, will be declared assets of cultural interest in the Canary Islands, and the declaration procedure is regulated by Decree 111/2004 of 29 July 2004 approving the Regulations on the Procedure for the Declaration and Legal Regime of Property of Cultural Interest. Property declared of Cultural Interest on the island of La Palma, will be in accordance with the following categories: —Monuments -Traditional activities -Historical Set -Historical Site -Archaeological Zones
