Dataset description

Budget implementation of the Municipal Budgets from 2011 to 2020. Includes the Information of: — 001 City Council of Madrid — 501 OO.AA. Computer science of the City of Madrid — 503 OO.AA. Madrid Employment Agency — 504 OO.AA. Madrid Tourism Board (data only 2011, since that year disappeared) — 506 OO.AA. Madrid Tax Agency — 507 OO.AA. Madrid Emprende — 508 OO.AA. Madrid Salud — 509 OO.AA. The amounts shown in the files of what the City Council enters, spends and invests are NOMINAL. The level of granularity with which the budget is presented and its monthly implementation means that the citizens and institutions concerned have all the necessary information for a detailed study. You can consult the Financially Sustainable Investments (FIS) in the Investments file. Of the total money budgeted for investments, a large percentage are IFS which, as established by the current regulations, can be implemented in two budget years. Consequently, in order to evaluate the implementation of these projects, it will be necessary to wait for the subsequent exercise to take place. These investments are distinguished in the investment file, because the prefix ‘IFS’ has been included in the description of these projects and they have been indicated in green color. The SFIs are allotted in the budget by means of extraordinary appropriations and credit supplements requiring the same formalities as the approval of the general budget, so the processing period is long and, as a result, the execution of the expenditure in the first financial year is shorter. The following datasets related to budget information exist on the Open Data Portal: Budgets. General History 2011-2020 In the section ‘Associated documentation’, there is an explanatory document with warnings and recommendations on the use of the data. Example of re-use of this data: Open Budgets is an application of the Madrid City Council that reuses the data sets of budgetary information of this portal, to facilitate the interactive, clear and visual consultation of municipal accounts since 2011. You can find more information about this data in the Transparency Portal & Budgets.
