Dataset description

The IMD 2009 layer includes the final calculation of the Daily Average Intensities (IMD) of all road sections of the regional network in 2009, as well as the percentage corresponding to heavy vehicle traffic. These data come from the capacity plan that is developed annually in the Centre of Management and Road Safety of the Generalitat Valenciana, and is the basic cartography used in intensities maps. The IMD is defined as the total number of vehicles that pass during a year through a cross section of the road divided by the number of days of the year, the result being the traffic corresponding to a day that is the average of all those of the year.
