Contracts for the agri-environment and climate measure in force by regional agricultural section

The agri-environment measures are included in measure 10 of agri-environment and climate of the Rural Development Programme of Castilla y León 2014-2020 still in force until the approval of the new CAP, compliance with these measures implies a multi-annual commitment and constitute a higher stratum for the requirements for the protection of the environment and the mitigation of climate change. Within them coexist those of livestock orientation that seek the sustainability of both pastures and traces, since they favor synergies between the agricultural and livestock use of agricultural areas, such as those of agricultural orientation with measures reducing the pressure to which these areas are subjected due to the intensity of the crops. These are measures based on extensive crop rotations, reduced use of inputs, cultivation of soil-enhancing products, etc. Rural development policy promotes and supports these measures, so that it covers financially the increase in expenditure or the reduction of production that may be suffered by farmers who benefit from these commitments.
