Dataset description

The Digital Hemeroteca is part of the Hispanic Digital Library project, which aims to consult and publicise through the Internet the Spanish bibliographic heritage preserved in the National Library. This Hemeroteca was born in March 2007 to provide public access to the digital collection of Spanish historical press that houses the Library, with an initial collection composed of 143 press titles and magazines. The offer of titles has been expanding. This data set includes, in HTML and CSV, a list of all titles in the public domain included in the Digital Hemeroteca, as well as the link to download the full text, in TXT format, of the publications. It is updated monthly. It includes data relating to ISSN, title, geographical scope, temporary coverage, language and full text. Note that the full text (TXT) is obtained from an optical character recognition (OCR) process and its quality may vary depending on the typography and conditions of the original document.
