This annual statistic gives an updated and periodic overview of the foundational sector and public utility association in the Basque Country; reporting on the number of foundations and public utility associations, active units classified by area of activity, target population, volume and type of employment, territorial distribution, endowment, wealth, assets, income and expenditure. It intends to measure and analyse the main macromagnitudes in economic and employment terms, in order to allow homogeneous evolution studies, to place the sector within the framework of the so-called social economy and in the broadest of the total economy of the Basque Country.
